Why I Ride: Utah High School Cycling League

Who us mountain biking for? “It’s for everybody, I think.” Those are the word of a young, inclusive cyclist. There’s plenty of outdoor sports to choose from for a Utah teenager. Who knew that mountain biking would be the first choice for so many youths. But they aren’t just teaching these kids to ride; they are peppering in lessons about community, friendship, and collaboration, the knowledge that will carry each rider beyond the track. The Utah High School Cycling League is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization and an Affiliate of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association.

Their Mission: Enable every Utah teen to strengthen body, mind, and character through the life-long sport of cycling.

Their vision: Establish a fun, enduring, and relevant interscholastic mountain biking program to improve Utah’s communities and the lives of Utah’s teens. Our Five Core Principles: Fun, Inclusivity, Equity, Respect, and Community.
