The Bull Trout Loop – Bikepacking in Northern Idaho

Idaho’s trails are equally as impressive as the fishing and camping — the Bull Trout Loop is proof. In this short video, two riders/anglers carve a mixed-growth forest of Douglas fir and lodgepole pine in search of Brook and Rainbow trout. The POV footage reveals unbelievable singletrack, insane views, and pristine fishing. However, there’s more to the story:

5 days in the saddle. A bike-to-fish through the Bitterroot Mountains of northern Idaho. A few close encounters on our path with wolves, abundant fish, otters, and various big game. The wilderness qualities were first class. Trails endless.

So, should you go? Bull Trout country is a fine place for a bikepacking and fly fishing adventure.
