Monkeycycle is an 8-in-1 bike that grows with your child from 9 months to 6 years old. You can change Monkeycycle into different types of bike as your child grows up. You could start with a stroller for a baby and move all the way up to a pedal bike. Essentially, this bike will grow with your child, saving you money and, of course, some storage space.
Monkeycycle was created with simplicity in mind. You can change the bike around in minutes. It’s lightweight and doesn’t take up space like multiple ride-on toys. Equally important, the bike was created for longevity using premium materials, meaning it’ll stay out of the landfill.
Tony, the creator of Monkeycycle, had the idea in 2015, after difficulties helping his child learn how to ride a bike. He bought a high-end balance bike from Germany. It was not only too heavy but wasn’t created with the child in mind. It was an expensive toy that a child grows out of quickly.
As an engineer and keen cyclist, he knew a better solution was possible. Monkeycycle was born with the help of designer Michael Downes, who worked at biking giants like Giant, Raleigh and Diamondback.
“The Monkeycycle system is a paradigm shift for parents of young children”, said Antony R. Webb, creator and CEO of Monkeycycle.
“The modular system grows with your child via a series of optional kits from stroller to pedal quad and more. From ages nine months to six years, simple hex tools allow you to choose multiple ride options. There’s no need to buy half a dozen low quality ‘ride-on toys’ that take up so much room and end up in the landfill”, Antony explained.
“We built Monkeycycle to last, and want it to be passed on to siblings. That commitment is backed by a five-year ‘no questions’ guarantee,” he added. See it on Kickstarter!
