Mahalo Haleʻiwa: Patagonia on Oahu

Not just a retail store, Patagonia Hale’iwa serves as foundational presence for the entire community. Twenty five years in the running, this store embodies the company spirit which continues to fuel Patagonia’s giving spirit and dedication to sustainability. One such example, store employees have a unique opportunity to participate in environmental internships at places such as Waimea Valley. Protecting diversity in the local ecosystem and providing an outlet for stewardship among local supporters are just two of the benefits this Patagonia store provides the north shore.

The way I see it, this is the future of retail in the outdoor industry. Ironically enough, the solution to “selling gear” has been in front of our noses for nearly 25 years, thanks to this model. Now, we have a chance to thank our friends, neighbors and the entire North Shore ohana for their the support and aloha over the years with a new Pataloha collection.

About Patagonia Hale’iwa:

Patagonia Hale’iwa is located in the North Shore Marketplace, just minutes from Old Hale’iwa Town and seven miles of the best surfing in the world. Their selection of Patagonia products and expertise reflect where and who they are, with an emphasis on board and body surfing, hiking, free diving, fishing, outrigger canoeing, camping and swimming. They carry a nice selection of board shorts, bathing suits, logo T-shirts and caps, Pataloha prints, sportswear and gear for everyday living and travel. Sit out on their front deck shaded by the big monkeypod tree and see what the store and the North Shore have to offer.
