How to Jump With Your Mountain Bike

In this final episode of our MTB Skills and Tips with Andrew Neethling series, Andrew covers the more advanced jumping techniques. He explains the difference between a ‘drop’ and a ‘jump’ and then dives into more detail on the skills needed for each.

Again, body positioning is crucial for jumping, mainly being proactive with your body position and not letting the bike dictate or terrain dictate. Andrew advises starting with small drops and jumps, and gradually building up in height and difficulty, through many hours of practice.
