Going Remote in Wild Finland: Anette Latva-Piikkilä and her Kona e-MTB

There’s something truly magical about the autumnal colors that surround us as the seasons change towards winter. Anette Latva-Piikkilä is a wilderness guide in Lapland, Finland. She spends her days showing guests the beauty of the unique northern landscape. Using the all-new Remote allows Anette to ride longer, conserve energy throughout the extended days, and explore further than ever before. This is Remote in the Wild.

The Kona Remote e-MTB

The Remote has become the veteran of the Kona e-MTB lineup. It’s been a top choice for trail builders, backwoods explorers, and sportsmen of all kinds. Derived from the Honzo, a redesigned frame brings a sportier version to the masses and holds a 504 Wh internal battery that powers Shimano’s E7000 motor. 140mm of front suspension is provided by a Suntour Zeron 35 fork. A 10-speed Shimano Deore drivetrain provides reliable shifting while Shimano hydraulic disc brakes keep the speed in check. The all-new Remote is sporty, practical, and perhaps the perfect way to dip your toe into the eBike waters!

The complete overhaul of the Remote brings it into a more performance-oriented arena. With geometry similar to that of a Honzo DL, and featuring a 140mm fork, the Remote is the ultimate electric hardtail weapon for full-on trail shredding.
