Soaring Over the Southwest Aerial Film

Read the creator’s notes about this aerial footage of the American Southwest:

I have such a strong admiration for the diverse formations and complex patterns of the American Southwest that truly make you feel like you’re on another planet. In partnership with Panasonic, I was given the opportunity to shoot this film on their brand new Lumix S5 full-frame mirrorless camera with the goal of sharing the surreal experience of flying low in an airplane over these otherworldly landscapes.

While shooting, I heavily relied on the S5’s in body stabilization as well as it’s 4K 60 10bit video. Overall, I was extremely impressed with what I was able to capture handheld and on it’s 20-60 kit lens.

Massive thanks to pilots Christian Walker, Cory Robin and Curtis Dudley for being a part of this project and helping to bring my vision to life. They’re all extremely talented pilots and I couldn’t have done it without them!
