Should Catalina Island, known for its close proximity to Southern California hubs such as Orange County and Long Beach, be your next mountain bike destination? The Tasco team set out to the town of Avalon to film a short edit with their crew. Inspired by all Catalina Island has to offer, they were curious what it would be like to take our mountain bikes and explore the backcountry. They were rewarded with sweeping 360-degree views of the Pacific Ocean and miles of endless gravel climbs. And what was lacking in epic riding (compared to the mainland) was made up by the views, remote camping, and spotting wildlife unique to this island.
