Bike Fishing: Valles Caldera

Follow Colt as he bike packs with fly rods in the Valles Caldera National Preserve outside of Sante Fe, New Mexico.

Colt’s favorite portable fly rod:

Fly fishing for Rio Grande Cutthroat trout while bikepacking with a Kona Unit and Salsa Cutthroat, a pretty apt name for this trip. We camped just outside of the National Preserve and visited the Jemez Hot Springs.
