Fastpacking the Most Beautiful Trail in the Rockies

The Rockwall Trail in Kootenay National Park is about 56 km long and follows the base of a massive limestone cliff wall for which it’s named. While it’s possible to run the trail in single a day, we decided to fastpack the route over two days in the summer of 2020.

More about the Rockwall Trail:

The Rockwall is a 36.7 mile lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada that features a lake and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from June until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on a leash.
