The Frozen Road: Cycling Around the World

The Frozen Road by Ben Page Films begins with a strong quote by the legendary Jack London, “Any man, who is a man, can travel alone,” and proceeds to tell the adventurous story of a professionally unemployed 24-year old riding his way through Canada’s Yukon Territory.

Self-shot and edited while cycling around the world, this short film charts Ben’s winter journey into the Canadian Arctic as he completed a two-wheeled journey up the American continent. Although he sought an adventure of perfect solitude, he came to realize the harsh truths of travelling in such a formidable environment. The Frozen Road is an honest reflection on his solo trip; of the wonder, terror and frustration he experienced when riding through the unforgiving emptiness of one of the world’s ‘last great wildernesses’.
